TAIPI AND AMPHITHEATER
The Taypi is the meeting place. This space receives a unique treatment because it constitutes a crossroads where flows from the promenades and the plaza converge and serves as an entry point to other buildings in the complex. The Taypi is, so to speak, the enclave of the park; the nucleus towards which the different flows lead, and to that extent an urban nucleus is also made thinking of the great radius of influence that the PCyMT will have in the area and the city.
A brief depression, like an inverted and truncated pyramid, with the presence of a central water source, provide a solution to this space where the user can spend time sitting in contemplation, on the slope of this meeting place.
The Taypi is also the construction with most symbolism, it can be said that it is the total representation of symbols, or that it is a constructed symbol (very much in the sense of the ancient wakas[1]) that, however, maintains a contemporary character, which shows the ability of cultures to reinvent themselves without losing their most deeply rooted essences.
In the center of this depression are built two very important symbols for the cultures of the country, on the one hand, the Chakana, which is the central source and represents the entire Andean World, and on the other -and in combination with it-, the Rose of the Winds, a symbol that represents the lowlands and eastern parts of the country.
