Descripción del proyecto
Se trata un proyecto importante, considerando, que con esta construcción se inaugura la cultura del café en la ciudad de La paz ya de manera más incorporada a la rutina de consumo de la sociedad. El Taller desarrolló a lo largo de los años todos los Café Alexander de las ciudades de La Paz, El Alto y Santa Cruz. El año 2016 se desarrolló una segunda remodelación sobre la cafetería, con la intención de cerrar más la terraza abierta que tenía el proyecto.
El Taller continúa buscando motivos geométricos en parasoles y celosías metálicas como parte de las cubiertas, en este caso se trata de diferentes planos/superficies dispuestas como capas sobre el espacio habitable, generando sombras como quién estuviera mirando a través de un cesto.

ALEXANDER COFFEE – SAN MIGUEL

This is an important project, considering that this construction marks the beginning of a coffee culture in the city of La Paz, now more integrated into the daily consumption habits of the community. El Taller has developed all the Café Alexander locations in the cities of La Paz, El Alto, and Santa Cruz over the years. In 2016, a second renovation of the café was undertaken, with the intention of further enclosing the open terrace that the project originally featured.
El Taller continues to explore geometric motifs in parasols and metal latticework as part of the roofing. In this case, different planes/surfaces are arranged in layers over the habitable space, creating shadows as if one were looking through a basket.
