Éste es el primer trabajo realizado de manera directa para el Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia. En la segunda gestión de Evo Morales se decide implementar una serie de empresas nacionales con el fin de alcanzar la soberanía alimentaria, a pesar de que el resultado de dichas iniciativas siembra serias dudas. La obra nunca se construyó completa y como Taller no hemos tenido chance de visitarla una vez concluida. Los proyectos de cada parte del proyecto estudiaron el clima para responder mediante parasoles, grandes y alongados volúmenes a las necesidades programáticas. No solo se necesitaba resolver las oficinas sino también un conjunto de viviendas para técnicos e ingenieros, sede social, puntos de acopio y otros.

ANNEXED BUILDINGS SAN BUENAVENTURA SUGAR PLANT
San Buenaventura, Bolivia.
This is the first project carried out directly for the Plurinational State of Bolivia. During Evo Morales’ second term, a series of national enterprises were established with the aim of achieving food sovereignty, although the results of these initiatives have raised serious doubts. The buildings were never fully constructed, and our studio has not had the opportunity to visit it after its completion. The designs for each part of the project took into account the climate, using sunshades and large, elongated volumes to meet the programmatic needs. The project required not only offices but also housing for technicians and engineers, a social center, storage facilities, and other amenities.
