Este proyecto es uno que venimos persiguiendo hace una década. El proyecto original y en otro lote tenía que construirse el 2012. Se trata del amigo de la infancia de Daniel y por lo tanto hay una cercanía muy grande con sus inquietudes y deseos. Finalmente, ese proyecto no se hizo y 10 años después regresó, realizamos dos propuestas en el lote, la primera aceptada, la tuvimos que cambiar porque el topógrafo había medido mal el predio, por una que quedó en veremos. Unos meses después decidieron vender ese lote para comprar uno en otro barrio de Santa Cruz. Retomamos y reiniciamos el proyecto, recuperando algunas premisas del primer proyecto y adaptándolas al nuevo contexto. Sin embargo, el proyecto está esperando a que la situación económica del país mejore (que haya dólares) para que se pueda finalmente construir.(Santiago)
Descripción del proyecto
El proyecto se sitúa en un terreno de mediana pendiente que mira a un campo de golf en el privilegiado barrio Urubó Golf de Santa Cruz de la Sierra. El partido del proyecto es muy sencillo: un cuerpo alargado que se entierra en el terreno y uno que flota sobre este se conectan entre sí por un cuerpo de menor altura.
Las premisas estaban ligadas al deseo de sus habitantes, una pareja en sus 60s, de poder realizar la vida en una sola planta y que desde los dos espacios más importantes del programa se pueda observar desde altura el campo de golf. Para no ser impositivos sobre el predio decidimos situar la planta principal dos metros por debajo del nivel de la calle, dejando el parqueo a nivel calle. La articulación que es además el acceso y circulación vertical de la vivienda, divide ambas alas privada y social en dos claros elementos.
El bloque más largo que da al este alberga la vida privada, un patio preliminar de acceso que contiene en su interior un árbol nuevo y todas las habitaciones del proyecto. El bloque público queda al este provee una sala-comedor-cocina casi plenamente conectados, un pequeño estudio y un área social con parrillero. Se adiciona a esta terraza una piscina elevada sobre pilares muy delgados de metal que balconea al campo de golf. Las cubiertas desprendidas de los bloques con muros de ladrillo se oponen al sol protegiendo a los espacios del sol de mediodía y la tarde, en todo momento se han utilizado celosías para controlar el ingreso de luz solar a los ambientes y privilegiar la ventilación cruzada, así como espacios de gran altura, para necesitar lo menos posible el uso de aire acondicionado.
En la planta inferior se habilita en el bloque privado una segunda habitación principal que pueda servir como alternativa, esto fue un requerimiento expreso, dado que en estos primeros años los dueños ocuparán primero esa habitación y ya cuando subir y bajar escaleras se vea difícil, usarían la de la planta general. Se añade una habitación generosa y en pleno contacto con el espacio del jardín para la persona que los apoya con la casa, así como otras dependencias y depósitos, escondidos y retranqueados para lograr la sensación de levitación del bloque oeste.

This project is one that we have been pursuing for a decade. The original project and on another lot had to be built in 2012. It is Daniel’s childhood friend and therefore there is a very great closeness with his concerns and desires. Finally, that project was not done and 10 years later it came back, we made two proposals on the lot, the first one accepted, we had to change it because the surveyor had measured the property incorrectly, for one that remained to be seen. A few months later they decided to sell that lot to buy one in another neighborhood of Santa Cruz. We resumed and restarted the project, recovering some premises from the first project and adapting them to the new context. However, the project is waiting for the country’s economic situation to improve (for dollars) so that it can finally be built.
The project is located on a medium-sloping piece of land that overlooks a golf course in the privileged Urubó Golf neighborhood of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. The concept of the project is very simple: an elongated body that is buried in the ground and one that floats above it are connected to each other by a lower body.
The premises were linked to the desire of its inhabitants, a couple in their 60s, to be able to live on a single floor and that from the two most important spaces of the program they could observe the golf course from above. In order not to be imposing on the property, we decided to locate the main floor two meters below street level, leaving the parking at street level. The articulation, which is also the access and vertical circulation of the home, divides both private and social wings into two clear elements.
The longest block facing east houses private life, a preliminary access patio that contains a new tree and all the rooms of the project. The public block to the east provides an almost fully connected living-dining-kitchen, a small study and a social area with a barbecue. Added to this terrace is an elevated pool on very thin metal pillars that overlooks the golf course.
The covers detached from the blocks with brick walls oppose the sun, protecting the spaces from the midday and afternoon sun. At all times, lattices have been used to control the entry of sunlight into the rooms and privilege cross ventilation, as well as such as high-rise spaces, to require the use of air conditioning as little as possible.
On the lower floor, a second main room is enabled in the private block that can serve as an alternative, this was an express requirement, given that in these first years the owners will occupy that room first and when going up and down stairs seems difficult, they would use that of the general plant. A generous room is added in full contact with the garden space for the person who supports them with the house, as well as other rooms and warehouses, hidden and set back to achieve the sensation of levitation of the west block.
